Join us for our next iPHA Project Spotlight featuring an exciting Passive House retrofit project that reached the Passive House Classic certification in Melbourne, Australia.
The eight-story ANMF hotel provides short-term accommodation for members of the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Foundation and is one of the most efficient short-stay accommodations in all of Australia. The Certified Passive House Designer, Paul O'Brien, will present together with the Passive House Certifier, Marcus Strang, to cover all aspects of the project, from planning to the building process and certification.
Especially interesting in this project is the panelized CLT façade that utilizes prefabrication for efficient on-site installation and the required air tightness for Passive House. The project also features an MVHR system and strategies to reduce embodied carbon in the finished project.
Following the presentation, the event will provide an opportunity for an exciting discussion and Q&A with the two speakers.
